My Story

I am Guenther Edelsbacher, married to Elke, 2 kids, Kimmy & Nina Vienna.
We were the typically Austrian tourists - 3 weeks Florida during Christmas.
On one of our trips, daughter Kimmy was already around, we found the Headquarter of Montessori Foundation in Sarasota Florida.
Elke wanted to give Kimmy the opportunity to learn some basic English at this school, so we decided that they stay and I travel between our Ad Agency in Austria and Florida.
Well, didn't take me long and I was done traveling. I landed some marketing clients in the States and filed for L1 Visa. We opened an agency in Sarasota and set the goal to stay a year or two. Only ten years later we reset this goal and keep it now open ended.
In the meantime Nina was born in the USA as we missed the medical time frame to make a secure flight back home. As Nina is the only real American in our family we gave her some Austrian roots in her middle name - Vienna. We all have green cards by now (everybody but Nina) and visit Austria once a year, mostly during the long summer vacations.
We enjoy our adventure but we are sure it was not our last one. There is so much to see and we are not even done seeing great places in the USA:)
I always remember a quote by Mark Twain: Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines.
Guenther Edelsbacher
